Community Involvement
LAKE HAVASU FAMILY EYECARE IN THE COMMUNITY
WE DON’T JUST TALK THE TALK: WE WALK THE WALK
We are proud to not just be a valuable resource to our neighbors, but also contribute to our community’s success through service and sponsorship — from raising funds for our local Humane Society, to funding spectacular air balloon shows. There are lots of ways to get involved in Lake Havasu City, so you never know where you’ll see us out and about!
Our Community is Our Family
We are always looking to get active in programs that make a positive impact. There’s already a lot to love about Lake Havasu City, and we believe in making it the best place it can possibly be — through eyewear, events, fundraising, and any other ways we can!
Lake Havasu Family Eyecare Sponsors the Havasu Balloon Festival
We were honored to support our community at the 2023 Havasu Balloon Festival, where we sponsored the “Northern Flights” hot air balloon. The event brought hot air balloon enthusiasts from across the globe to our city and we are happy we were able to help put on such a jaw-dropping show with co-sponsors from across the greater Lake Havasu area!
We love our furry friends!
This February, we accepted donations for Western Arizona Humane Society. We were so grateful for all of the food, money, and toys that so many of you brought to our office!
Lake Havasu Family Eyecare Supports Havasu Back-to-School Community Health Fair
We were proud to be part of Havasu Community Health Foundation’s 15th annual Back to School Health Fair this August. Lake Havasu Family Eyecare, along with other health organizations in the area, offered resources and services to help kids get ready for school by promoting wellness. Children got to enjoy games, prizes, balloon creations, and warm fuzzies from therapy animals — while parents discovered ways to keep their kids safe, healthy, and seeing clearly this year. Truly a win-win for all!
Our Practice Proudly Serves Local Food Banks
This September, Lake Havasu Family Eyecare was thrilled to support our local food banks’ efforts giving to community members in need. By hosting a food drive to collect canned and shelf-stable goods, we honored our mission to the public
Our Practice Sponsors Lake Havasu Stampede Steer Wrestling
In March, we were proud to sponsor the 2022 Stampede Steer Wrestling competition. The contestants put on quite the show as they wrestled bulls that were twice their size and weight to the ground — within seconds! We’re grateful to support our local attractions like the yearly Lake Havasu Stampede and love watching all the cowboys and cowgirls show off their skills in this professional rodeo!
Surfing up Support by Sponsoring Bands and Brews by the Beach
In April, we were thrilled to sponsor the first ever Bands and Brews by the Beach festival hosted by our own Kathy Clark representing Lake Havasu Chamber Foundation for Education & Leadership. Our staff loved volunteering and connecting with our community members over live music, games, local food trucks, and more at this local event.
Spending World Environment Day Cleaning Up Our City!
Our practice is big on preservation — from protecting your eye health for a lifetime of clear vision to cleaning up our local surroundings to help conserve our planet. Our recent World Environment Day event was no exception! Armed with trash grabbers and pickers, our staff graciously volunteered to remove trash and clean up the areas around our practice.
Our Eye Doctors Love to Donate School Supplies
To prepare for the upcoming school year, our practice hosted a drive to gather school supplies for students in need. We are so thankful to all our patients and staff who contributed this year. We were able to collect a wonderful assortment of donations, ranging from crayons to disinfectant wipes, to give to our local schools.
Lake Havasu Family Eyecare Walks for Breast Cancer Awareness
It was a privilege for our team members to participate in the Cancer Association of Havasu’s annual Breast Cancer Walk this fall. The event was organized by the community-driven non-profit organization, Lake Havasu Community Health Foundation. We all appreciated the chance to foster hope and support for our loved ones and community members affected by breast cancer.
